These are my fundamentals for planning a wedding. Too often we live our lives according to how others expect us to...or how Pinterest or your bridal magazine tells you. But I'm here to say that there is no right or wrong way of celebrating your day, but your way.
I’m an advocate for celebrating your wedding day exactly the way you want — whether it be hiking in the mountains, having your dog as your best man or flower girl, or having a cheesecake bar (because cheesecake is the best, am I right?) instead of a traditional wedding cake. Because in the end, your wedding day is about the love between you and your partner and should be about what you both love and cherish.
These are also my fundamentals for being your wedding photographer. I promise that I'll always be "keepin it one hundred" with you and that I'll always be authentically me. Need my advice on the perfect location? I got you. Need someone to calmly walk you through the process of your wedding day? I got you there too.
My approach to documentary-style photography entails the overlooked moments of your wedding day — your grandmother dabbing away tears from her eyes while you say your vows, hugs with your childhood friends that you haven’t seen in years. You know…the genuine, real, raw, authentic reactions that tell the story. That way when you look at your wedding photos in ten, twenty, forty years from now you’ll be able to relive your wedding day like it was only yesterday.
and I’m a wedding & engagement photographer that’s based in Australia AND available worldwide. I strongly believe that your wedding day should be just as exciting as the day you guys got engaged. Yeah, you remember the flutters you got from being nervous of asking your partner and/or the shock of being like “WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!”, and then the realization that this is who you will be spending the rest of your life with…and being SUPER pumped about it? That’s how I think you should feel on your wedding day too.
